Center High School is located in the northern region of Antelope in unincorporated Sacramento County and serves students in grades nine through twelve following a traditional calendar. The district has one comprehensive high school, one alternative high school and one charter high school. At Center High School the percentage of students by ethnicity is: 41% Caucasian, 16% Hispanic or Latino, 9% African-American, 19% multiple or no response, 7% Asian, 2% Filipino, 1% Pacific Islander, and 1% American Indian or Alaskan Native. Center High School’s population includes 13% in special education, 3% qualifying for English Language Learner support, and 50.67% qualifying for free or reduced price lunch.  


Center High School is a comprehensive four-year public high school. 1320 students were enrolled at the beginning of the school year,. The school opened in the fall of 1984 and graduated its first senior class in the spring of 1986.  Center High School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and holds membership in the College Board. Center High School achieved a 2012 Base Academic Performance Index (API) score of 791 and a perfect 10 in similar school rankings in California.
